How we Help!

Networking:

The opportunity to meet and share on a face to face basis is a core value of support groups. We facilitate casual events such as

coffee mornings and family events to foster that end. It's our hope that people don't feel isolated or they are doing this walk alone. It's all to easy to fall into when those around you don't see things the way you do. But with someone to share with, this sort of isolation can be releaved.

Social Mentoring:

Mentoring in this context is a process where mutual support is gained through sharing the daily events we face. This is achieved through our Face Book Group and posting either privatly or as a comment to the clossed group. But by far the best way is making person to person friends over a coffee.

External Help or Advice:

We have never made it a secret that we aren’t professionals and as such our advice is only from life’s experiences, rather than a formal qualification. So when it comes to needing professional help, we can only give general advice from our past. Doing our best to point you in the right direction. But we aren’t professionals, so all information should be taken under advisement by a professional.

Mandate:

Help as many people to deal with FASD in there lifes as possible.

This is an area where few other organisations help. Many say don't drink and some find out why drinking is harmful. But when it comes to helping with people dealing with FASD, helpers are few.

“While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about."

Information:

One of the main objectives of the support group, is to empower everyone with the knowledge about how to help those who have been effected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). to do that information is shared and has been gathered on our face book page as a reference library to give easy access through links. Each has been rated quoted from and cited for easy referance.
